Attorneys and human resources professionals are experiencing whiplash over rapidly changing rules and expectations about employment law compliance. It seems like every week, some long-held tenet of compliance crumbles away, often replaced by generalized expectation statements that are difficult to apply to actual employment situations. It would be nice to sit down and talk through how best to meet these new expectations with experts. The good news is that we are only seven weeks away from being able to do just that during the Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute.
This year, the Institute will be held on May 19 and 20 at the Rivercentre in St. Paul, MN. A few thousand attorneys and human resources professionals will meet to hear the latest employment law information and to get questions answered about what practices can safely continue and what may need adjusting or even eliminating to meet changing compliance expectations.
The Institute offers more than 70 sessions to choose from, along with an array of extras like publications and tuition-free post-institute webinars and training. This year, the Institute is offering Open Forums where attorneys and professionals can ask questions and share how to meet real-life challenges. The topics covered by individual forums will include DEI, employee leave, noncompetes, remote work and return to office, and the ADA interactive process and accommodations.
If you can’t attend the live Institute in St. Paul, consider signing up for the online replay on June 24 and 25.
