Employers may begin filing their 2022 EEO-1 data with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today. The deadline for submitting data is December 5, 2023.
The EEO-1 Component 1 report is a mandatory EEOC data collection requiring all private sector employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees, to submit workforce demographic data including data by job category.
The EEOC has provided a dedicated website to access the portal and resources to help employers understand the filing process. The website is at http://www.eeocdata.org/eeo1. Past filers should note that the EEOC has made changes in how and what to file. There is an updated 2022 EEO-1 Component Instruction Booklet for filers on the website, along with links to FAQs and other resources.
