Federal contractors and subcontractors with 50 or more employees and at least one federal contract totaling $150,000 or more must annually file a VETS-4212 Report with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The report provides a breakdown of the contractor’s workforce based on protected veteran status. The VETS-4212 filing period opened on August 1 and closes September 30.
Employers may file the report via DOL’s report portal found at https://vets4212.dol.gov/vets4212/. The agency prefers that contractors use the portal to file the report, but will accept reports via email or snail mail.
Contractors should review the Vets-4212 Report FAQs for more information. https://www.dol.gov/agencies/vets/programs/vets4212#faqs
